Founded in 1921 by a small group of visionary immigrants, the club has become a home for generations of families who carry forward the spirit, culture, and traditions of Portugal.
Now, in 2025, this legacy reaches a new milestone — 104 years of history, friendship, and community — and SCP invites you to celebrate it in grand style at its 104th Anniversary Gala on Saturday, December 6, 2025.
A Night to Remember
The evening will begin with an elegant cocktail hour at the SCP Lounge, where guests can mingle and enjoy a special art exhibition curated by the club’s cultural department, Galeria ProVerbo. This unique showcase will feature works by Portuguese and Luso-American artists, capturing the depth and creativity of our heritage.
Following the cocktail reception, guests will be welcomed into the beautifully decorated Centennial Hall for a gourmet dinner served by Valença Restaurant, accompanied by musical performances and special presentations celebrating the people and moments that have defined the Sport Club Português across generations.
And for those who wish to keep the celebration going, the night will continue with a lively After Party at the Lounge, organized by SCP’s Youth Group, featuring music, dancing, and the vibrant energy of the next generation of Portuguese-Americans.
