Escritora Ilda Pinto visitou a Escola Luis de Camões

No sábado, dia 25 de março, a escritora Ilda Pinto visitou a Escola Luis de Camões em Newark, New Jersey. O objetivo de sua visita foi conversar com os alunos e divulgar a importância da aprendizagem da língua portuguesa. Esta visita fez parte de uma iniciativa patrocinada pela Academia de Bacalhau de New Jersey, entidade que há muitos anos apoia o ensino de português no estado de New Jersey.

Durante a sua visita, Ilda Pinto falou aos alunos sobre o seu livro “O Daniel e a Cadelinha Azeitona”, que conta a história de um menino e do seu cão. Os alunos puderam fazer várias perguntas sobre o livro, a escritora e a inspiração por trás da história. Como um presente especial, os alunos receberam cópias autografadas do livro para levar para casa.

Além de conhecer Ilda Pinto, os alunos tiveram ainda a oportunidade de conhecer o presidente da Academia do Bacalhau de New Jersey, Sr. Tony Fernandes, e outros membros da organização. Foi uma grande emoção para os alunos, que ficaram entusiasmados por conhecer membros tão importantes da comunidade portuguesa.

A Escola Luis de Camões tem trabalhado com a comunidade para oferecer aos alunos oportunidades de aprender sobre sua herança, língua e cultura por mais de 90 anos. Aprender uma segunda língua tem muitas vantagens e prepara melhor os alunos para o futuro. Graças aos esforços da escola e de organizações como a Academia de Bacalhau de New Jersey, os alunos podem aprender português e se conectar com suas raízes.

On Saturday, March 25th, writer Ilda Pinto visited the Escola Luis de Camoes Portuguese school in Newark, New Jersey. The purpose of her visit was to talk to the students and promote the importance of learning Portuguese. This visit was part of an initiative sponsored by the Academia de Bacalhau of New Jersey, an organization that has been supporting the teaching of Portuguese in the state of New Jersey for many years.

During her visit, Ilda Pinto spoke to the students about her book “O Daniel e a Cadelinha Azeitona,” which tells the story of a boy and his dog.
